Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful moms that we know, especially ours!  And to my number one girl, thank you for giving me my favorite job - being your mom.

Kate and the rest of Drew's fan club cheered him on this past weekend at his first BBQ competition!  He placed 2nd place overall and 1st place in chicken!  Kate and I are the lucky taste-testers of Drew's hobby and for that (and MANY other things) we are pretty lucky girls.  How many other 1 year-old kids do you know who like homemade, smoked sausage? :)

Train Trip!

Kate and her bestie, James, took a trip on the Metra this week to a book store in Downers Grove (with Jeanette, of course)!  Kate had a great time and now enthusiastically says, "Choo Choo" when we see a train.
