Water Fun

In an attempt to squeeze every ounce of fun we could out of the summer, Drew, Kate and I took off for a quick trip to Wisconsin Dells.  Kate loved and we will most definitely be back!

It's About Time!

I think this happens every summer...I stink at updating the blog.  So, here is an update!  It's funny, every summer since Kate was born Drew and I have said that said summer was the "best one ever".  This year is no exception!  Kate is entertained by almost any activity and LOVES being home with her mom and dad :)

Summer Fun

This past weekend was a fun and busy one! 

 We did a little swimming with The Lloyd's on Thursday

 And, of course, going down the slide (8 times)

 Then we took off for Galena for a weekend getaway with the Eders.  Kate is testing our sled for the BIG slide we went down.

And, because we were not completely exhausted yet, we ended the weekend with a trip to a local carnival. 

Hilton Head Island 2013

The Sand Fam took off for a week of fun in the sun to Hilton Head Island.  We all had fun swimming, alligator watching and over-applying sunscreen!

We have had an eventful week but the highlight was certainly Drew winning the Grand Champion of the Dwight BBQ competition!  It was a great day.

 Kate and Drew with the winning trophy.  The trophy is really unique...please let me know if you have a place to "store" it :)

 Kate and Ryan had a great time on the rides.  Their parents were much more scared than they were!

 We are loving our evening bike rides in the forest preserve.

Sometimes you just have to put on your lion costume on at 6:00 in the morning.
