Lets Blow this Popstand!

With Drew busy at work and Kate, Jack and I having unlimited free time, the three of us hopped a plane to sunny Southwest Florida for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa!  On both flights we got the whole row to ourselves (it's surprising nobody wanted to sit with a mom, 3 year old and newborn? :)  We had a wonderful visit!

Although a postseason run in any basketball tournament seems unlikely this year, we are still sporting our team spirit!

Finally! Time to eat cake!

Our birthday girl, who did request beer at her 3rd birthday party as we were talking about the menu :)

3 is...

... 34 pounds (81st percentile) and 36 inches (42nd percentile) of non-stop action!  Will eat anything sweet at anytime of day.  All about imaginative play.  Gives the best hugs and kisses.  Favorite color is purple.  Great helper.  Has more sass than should be allowed in such a small body.  Eager to get pedicures and go to Target with her mom.  Funny!  Likes to snuggle before she goes to bed and when she wakes up.  Happily covers our house, and bodies, in stickers.  Wrapping her head around having to share mom and dad with another person.  Favorite princess is Ariel.  Gives her brother an unprompted kiss and "nice to meet you" handshake when she comes and goes from the house.  Girly.  Loves playing downstairs with her dad.  Still happiest at home.  Could "do art" and "play teacher" for hours.  Can have quite an edge to her voice.  Although sometimes reluctant to go, has lots of fun at school.  Master negotiator.  A memory like a steel trap.  The best part of her mom, dad and brothers day.     

We love you more everyday, Kate-Kate!
