Apple Orchard
There were not many apples on the trees this year, but it was still a great morning to be outside and get Kate and Jack out of the "concrete jungle".
Lucky for Jack, it wasn't cold enough that he had to wear his sisters pink stocking hat.

Catch Up
Kate and Jack have been keeping us busy! Jack is SO close to crawling which means we should get busy baby-proofing...:) We've been laughing about how we were so excited for Kate to start moving when she was a baby, but with Jack we would be happy if he stayed still just a little bit longer!

It's Here
All weekend I've had a lump in my throat and am a heartbeat away from tears
streaming down my face. That can only mean one thing for a typically
very even-keel person...summer is officially over. I just had 2.5
months with my most favorite people. And, I know, how could I complain?
For Kate, Summer 2014 was highlighted by swimming and biking. She really took off with both in the last couple of months. And she is just getting so big, and so funny, and even more observant, and entirely too cute. Kate loves school. She is thrilled to be upstairs at Kensington School with the "big kids". She is happy at her school and I'm confident her transition back will be an easy one.
For Jack, Summer 2014 was highlighted by jumping and sitting up. I have never seen a baby dominate a jumperoo with a smile on his face like Jack Eder (see photo). He is transitioning, though, to enjoying the freedom of sitting on the floor and grabbing anything in his reach. But most of all, he loves watching every move his big sister makes. We are excited about the in-home babysitter he will have this year and, since he is the only one there, all the attention he will get. Because Jack will smile and laugh for just about everybody, we think he will have the DiZillo's eating out of his hand by approximately 7:48 tomorrow morning.
Alright, only 180 days to go. Lets do this.

27.5 inches (73%ile)
17 3/4 cm head (lets just say still quite large :)
Squish!
And, most important for practical purposes, riding in the big cart at Target
