Happy 2nd Birthday, Kate!

2 already, Kate-Kate?!  I wasn't sure it was possible, but this year was even better than last!  Sure, we had a couple more trips to the ER (and a minor surgery on your cute little finger) and you've kept us on our toes as you have begun testing your boundaries, but we've all got each other pretty well figured out now and your dad and I didn't have to do as much guessing this year.

Almost every day we marvel at how much bigger you have gotten. She looks taller. Look at how big she is. I can't believe she can do that. Those are the things Daddy and I say -- over and over again.  The only hint of baby left is your slightly protruding belly.  You are brave and strong-willed.  You love baby dolls; carrying them, feeding them and changing their diapers.  You have a massive sweet tooth (peanut m&m's and doughnuts, please).  You get frustrated when things don't come easily to you.  You wake up every morning earlier than we are ready to get out of bed.  You are quick to smile, but it takes something seriously funny to hear your infectious giggle.  Your dad gets the best belly laughs when you are rough-housing.  Your favorite place is still our house, preferably with your mom right next to you.  You don't have a poker face.  You adore Nette.  Rah rah, brownie and blankie are your holy trinity.  You have the best curls.  Not much makes you happier than a park or swimming.  You have strong opinions about the shoes and clothes you wear.  We love hearing your ideas and thoughts as you talk more and more.

Simply put, Kate, you are our favorite person to be with.  We love you more than you can imagine and couldn't be more proud of you.
